William H. Cavuti
William H. Cavuti is a professional musician in the Los Angeles area. He is proficient in many styles of music, including sacred, classical, jazz, standards, blues and world music. Specializing in recording, teaching, parties, hotels, restaurants, church services, and funerals, he adheres to strict performance practice.
He began at an early age studying the accordion with Maestro Anthony Galla-Rini, the world's greatest piano accordionist. He won numerous competitions. In his 20's he finished his degree in Music, concentration pipe organ, cum laude. He also spent time studying piano, voice, orchestral and choir conducting at the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton NJ. William has performed in various churches and Cathedrals in Europe.
He was also accepted into PhD programs in Music and History, but turned then down in order to perform and teach music. His forte is historical performance practice of sacred, jazz, standards, world, European and especially Italian music. He also sings in different languages and is at home in all types of music. Recently, he competed in the Southern California Blues competition and placed highly with his voice, barrelhouse piano playing and his band.
Furthemore, he has taught for public schools and still teaches for conservatories in Southern California. Lastly, he also has been on the screen numerous times.
